Ralph Lauren Spec work
Ralph Lauren wanted to make the Polo shirt cool again.
So we borrowed from the lore of Ralph himself, a man who loves to talk about dreams, and lives a quintessentially American one.
We used the line “Ralph Told Me,” to re-appropriate the WASP-y polo shirt into the uniform of the hip and hustle-minded, because Ralph’s legacy gives us all permission to dream and dress boldly.
We lost the pitch because Ralph didn't like that his name was in the line—a worthy enough claim to fame, though making this would have been better.
